The Friends of Nipomo Library invite everyone to come to the Fair, meet authors, eat goodies, and shop for jewelry, art and crafts, books and other items.

The Friends' Fair is approaching quickly (August 9) and the Friends are still looking for a few more vendors. We are almost filled to capacity so please apply as soon as possible; signup deadline is July 20. Please download a vendor application in the bulletin page (link is on the far left).
The Summer Reading Program is in full swing with performances on Thursday @ 2PM free of charge. The reading program itself runs through August 14. It's not too late to sign up at the library front desk.Read 10 books and win a free book as well as other prizes.
The Wednesday Preschool Storytime continues through July and is meeting at 10:30 due to the free Summer Lunch Program.
The free Summer Lunch Program is available to children 0-18 on each day (Tuesday-Friday) from 11:30-12:30. The program ends on July 25.
New library hours are started July 1. New hours are posted to the left.
There is a new Blue Ray Collection at the library. Please stop by to see the current collection. The Friends will also be adding to the current collection so watch for new titles.
The Digital Magazine Program is new to the SLO Library System. Please ask for information at the library front desk.
As always, the Friends are looking for saleable items for book sales and the silent auctions. Please see the article in the newsletter section for how to donate. The next silent auction will be in August.
The Preschool Stoytime will not run in August but watch for the Teddy Bear Tea later in the month. It will feature preschoolers and their favorite stuffed animals, stories, etc.

The Nipomo Library Friends Fair quota for jewelry booths has been filled. No further applications for jewelry vendors can be accepted. Thank you for your support.

The Nipomo Library Friends Fair is coming August 9th. We welcome artists, crafters, authors, community businesses and organizations. The Friends are now accepting applications for booth space. Vendors please submit the application found in the Bulletins section of this site.

Princess Belle - Thurs May 8 @ 10:15.
The library will have a visit from Disney Beauty and the Beast's Princess Belle. She'll read to and interact with the children.
Nipomo FONL's Big Book Sale - Sat, May 17 10AM - 3PM
Sale will include fiction, non-fiction titles for children, young adults and adults as well as DVDs, CDs & audio books. The sale is open 9-10AM for members only and 10AM-3PM for the general public. The Friends are still accepting saleable materials.
Summer Lunch Program
The library will be providing a site for the Summer Lunch Program as part of a federally funded program through the Lucia Mar School District. The program is for children 0-15 years old and runs from June 17 through July 26. Lunches will also be provided at the Nipomo School. Please see the article for important details.
Summer Reading Program
The program will be held again at the Nipomo library for all ages of children and teens. Signups begin at the end of the school year and the program runs through the summer. There are prizes for those who complete the program. In conjunction, the FONL will be funding additional events throughout the summer that are open to all ages. Watch for event announcements.
Art Classes for ages 12-18
The FONL and Nipomo Parks & Recreation will jointly offer these art classes free of charge. Watch for more information.
Friday May 18 Library Hours
The library will open at 1PM on May 18 due to a county wide library staff meeting.
